ABSTRACT
Clean drinking water is important for overall health and plays a substantial role in infant and child health and survival. The World Health Organization estimates that worldwide about 1.8 million people die from diarrheal diseases annually. The most vulnerable people to water-borne diseases are those who use an unclean drinking Water source. (WHO, 2014).so This study sought to the relationship between Water sanitation and the incidence of Diarrhea in Dharkenley district.
This study was conducted in Dharkenley district. The target population of this study consisted of 82 Respondents and the sample size consisted of 68 Respondents selected from Medina Hospital of Dharkenley District and sampling techniques which was probability sampling procedure particularly simple random sampling method. The collected data were analyzed in SPSS version 20. The result from the findings indicated that shows there was a significant relationship between Water sanitation and the incidence of Diarrhea. The findings also revealed that the Lack of access to potable drinking Water had a great effect on the health system. The findings also revealed that
Water sanitation had a great impact on the incidence of Diarrhea.
The biggest concern related to poor water access and high contamination risk is waterborne diseases such as diarrhea. And incidence of diarrheal diseases was the major cause of morbidity and mortality among children in Mogadishu due to poor water sanitation
