ABSTRACT
Changes in African socio-cultural organization have greatly modified the psychological
evolution of Africans. The Freudian Oedipus has thus become an African reality, which in
its elaboration places the young girl and the woman in second place. Through a monographic approach (direct observation of our daughter), this article investigates the
female Oedipus and its resolution. Analysis of the data collected using an observation grid reveals the existence of an early Oedipus in Klein’s sense (although it should be pointed out that conflict is absent). These results suggest an effective resolution of the Oedipus. This is made possible by the combined action of the father and mother with the young girl. The mother’s caring love combines with the father’s caring authority to reinforce the girl’s feminine phallus. Under no circumstances does the girl covet the male phallus.
Keywords: Oedipus, girl, woman, feminine phallus, resolution of the Oedipus.
