ABSTRACT

The word ‘innovative’ is much too often used indiscriminately by the media and the
general public alike. Innovation is the specific function of private enterprise, whether in
an obtainable business, a public service institution, or a new endeavour ongoing by a lone person in the family kitchen. It is the means by which entrepreneurs either generate new wealth-producing resources or bestow accessible wealth with enhanced potential for creating wealth.
The general objective of the study is to analyse the influence of information technology
on the effectiveness of logistics and supply chain management at Golis Company in
Galkaio, Somalia.
The sample size of 72 would be taken from an estimated population size of 250, out of
which 72 were selected by the researcher. In the study, both primary and secondary data
were used. The sample was taken from employees who are currently working in the
organisation by using simple random sampling.
Finding this research to include that information The main challenges in logistics and
supply chain are poor traffic predictions, and the respondents confirmed the impact of
information technology on the performance of suppliers for the company.
Conclusion and recommendation, the benefit of technology in logistics is faster delivery
times, and the technology impact on the efficiency of the supply chain is that information technology coordinates production and information efficiently across suppliers and product lines. Recommendation: The company should employ information technology skilled workers with good experience, and poor traffic predictions in the supply chain should be eliminated.
