ABSTRACT

The impact of the civil war, the waves of IDPs, emigration, poverty and the absence of a Central Government in Somalia have led to emergence IDPs camps with a large population. Malnutrition in Somalia is a huge public health problem, negatively affecting growth, development and survival of the population. The determinants of food consumption patterns and the prevalence of nutritional status are not well documented. This study is aimed to assess nutritional status of children in IDP camps
of Beledwein district and to determine food consumption patterns of children in IDP camps of and to establish the determinants of food consumption patterns of children in IDP caps Beledwein Distract.Descriptive cross-sectional survey was carried out in Beledwein District. Every one of respondents are randomly selected by using structured questionnaire. The ethical consideration of this study focused primary on the rights of the participants who were questioned for the purpose of gathering data. The Study sample will be 50 participants from Beledwein District. increasing efforts of
the international community programs to promote child health and nutrition in IDP camps to prevent malnutrition and Accessibility of food to prevent food insecurity and Promotion adequate nutrition for children, a variety of interventions and services have been designed and implemented in IDP camps also improving Accessibility of food to prevent food insecurity
