ABSTRACT

Whether green carbon finance can promote agriculture to achieve carbon emission reduction is an important issue in agricultural sustainable development. Thus, the present study investigates the impact of green carbon finance on sustainable agriculture in Cameron.

The data was extracted from a World Development Index (WDI) report covering the period from 2010 to 2020. The study used the OLS regression technique to assess the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. Using secondary data, the paper concluded that green finance and agriculture growth have a negative relationship with green gas emissions in Cameroon, while population growth and fertilizer consumption share a positive connection with green gas emissions. This research proposes the integration of the green concept in financial policies, effective implementation of green finance, and encouragement to practice sustainable agriculture. Similarly, the study shows that CO2 green gas emissions can be reduced by controlling population problems and fertilizer consumption.
